“Our guide Joseph put us on a leopard the first morning. By day three we'd seen the Big Five without ever feeling rushed. The lodge selection alone was worth the price.”

Why Tajo
What you get that other operators don't.
Guides who read the bush.
Average 12+ years tracking wildlife in the parks they grew up around. They know where the lions sleep and where the leopard's been seen this week.
Built around you, not a brochure.
Every itinerary is rebuilt for your dates, pace, and what you actually want to see. We start with a conversation, not a price list.
Routed away from the crowds.
Private conservancies and timing windows that get you to the sightings before the line of vehicles arrives.

From the Guestbook
What travellers say after they get home.
“We saw three river crossings in five days. The guide knew which bend was active without ever using GPS — he just read the wildebeest behaviour. The photography we came home with is genuinely better than anything I'd hoped for.”
“Two adults, three kids aged 7 to 13, and a guide who somehow kept all of them engaged for ten days. The Sheldrick orphans broke our daughter open in the best way. Diani at the end was the right call — kids needed a beach by then.”
“Came for the cats, left talking about the conservancies. Standing two metres from the last northern white rhino with a Samburu ranger explaining what's being done about it — that's not a safari experience, that's a perspective shift.”
“Ten days, four parks, never once felt like we were being moved through a schedule. The Tsavo days at the end surprised us — quieter than the Mara but somehow wilder. Logistics were flawless from the moment we landed.”
“I'd heard budget camping safaris were a downgrade. Not here. Same vehicle, same parks, the food cooked over fire was actually better than some lodge buffets. Lions calling outside the tent at night — that's the memory.”
Our Approach
Tourism that earns its place here.
We contribute a guaranteed conservancy fee for every guest, every night — paid directly to community trusts that fund grazing management and anti-poaching salaries.
Our guides are locally employed and trained — most are from the communities adjoining the reserves they work. The training scheme we co-fund admits eight new guides a year.
We route trips through low-vehicle conservancies wherever possible. Less crowding, better wildlife behaviour, and more of your trip cost reaching the people whose land you're travelling on.
